Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of OreFolk ("we" and "us") about playing OreFolk and using this website. By playing, you accept them. If you are under 18, read them with a parent or guardian, who accepts them for you. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

The game

OreFolk is a sandbox game: you play your own worlds on your device and, with an account, on our online servers. You must be 13 or older to play. The game needs an internet connection. We keep improving it, so things in it may change, be added or be taken out, and the servers may be stopped for a while for maintenance.

The online servers run in seasons. When a season ends, its world starts anew: what was built and carried there is not taken into the next season. Your account, your gems, your looks and accessories, your level and the purchases kept with your account stay.

Your account

You sign in with Apple (and later Google). An account is for one person: keep your device and your Apple or Google account safe, because what is done with your account is your responsibility. You may not sell, share or trade accounts. Choose a name that follows the rules below; we may change a name that does not.

Rules of play

On the servers and anywhere players can see what you make, you agree not to:

• cheat: use modified versions of the game, bots, tools that give an unfair advantage, or bugs on purpose; tell us about bugs instead,
• harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone, including our team and moderators,
• write, build, paint or name anything hateful, sexual, violent in a real-world way, or otherwise offensive,
• share anyone's personal information, including your own address or phone number,
• advertise, spam or scam other players,
• sell or buy gems, items, land or accounts for real money outside the game,
• try to reach our servers in ways the game does not, or to disturb them.

Our moderators enforce these rules. Depending on what happened, they may warn you, mute you, send you off a server, take away what was gained unfairly, or ban your account for a time or for good. Messages and names pass a word filter, and you can report a player or a painted look and block a player in the game. We look at every report.

What you make

What you build, paint and write in the game is yours. So that the game can work, you allow us, free of charge and for as long as it is in the game, to store it, show it to other players and copy it as the game needs (for example in a season's archive or a picture of the server). We may remove anything that breaks these terms. Only send looks and names you have the right to use.

Gems and virtual items

Gems, looks, accessories, crates, land and the other things in the game are a licence to use them in OreFolk, not property. They have no value in real money: they cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and they cannot be moved to another account except through the game's own ways (trades, payments and the auction on the servers). We may change prices in gems and what gems buy. Gems and items are not refundable, except where the law or the store you bought them from says otherwise.

Crates give one reward drawn by chance. The chance of each reward is shown before you open one.

If a purchase made with money is refunded or cancelled, what it gave is taken back. Gems already spent are taken from what you have or will earn, and things they bought may be taken back too.

Purchases and subscriptions

Things bought with money are sold through the App Store (and later Google Play) under their terms, and you pay the store, not us. Prices are shown in the game before you buy.

Ranks (VIP, VIP+ and MVP) are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. A subscription renews at the end of each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before; you can manage and cancel it in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the rank lasts until the end of the month you paid for. Remove Ads is bought once and can be restored on your device with Restore in the game's store.

Your rights as a consumer under the law of your country are not affected by these terms. For purchases on the App Store, refunds are asked from Apple.

Ads

The game shows ads, and you may choose to watch videos for gems, a limited number each day. Remove Ads stops the ads between play sessions; the videos stay your choice.

Ending

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time, in the game or on this website's account page. Deleting the account deletes your gems, looks and everything kept with it, and cannot be undone. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever stop running the online game, we will tell you in advance in the game.

Our responsibility

We work to keep OreFolk running and fair, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by things outside our control, such as your internet connection, your device, the stores' or other companies' services, or other players' actions. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple's standard licence for apps (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) also applies to OreFolk downloaded from the App Store. Apple is not responsible for the game or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and, if the game fails to work as promised, you may tell Apple, which may refund its purchase price where applicable. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the game changes or the law asks for it. We will update this page and the date at its top; if you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Turkey. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country. Disputes go to the competent consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts.
